after school speech #2

Last Wednesday, SJ had his weekly speech therapy appointment.  SJ's therapist said he did a nice job.  She reviewed some of the words that he had been having trouble with.

Out of the 21 that she reviewed, SJ was able to give a synonym and an antonym for 18 of the words (86%).  She did have to give him sentence cues with these words. The ones that he couldn't get were: rarely, aid and erosion.  She asked that we review these same words for homework.

She also told me that SJ's tone is getting much better.  He sometimes sounds robotic.  I am glad that she is working on it.

When we did his homework yesterday, he again got 18 correct.  I did use sentence cues for each word.  The ones that he couldn't answer correctly were: erosion, allow and rarely.  I don't know why those are troubling him, but we will continue to work on them.
